This was a television series written, drawn and told by John Ryan as part of the Noah’s Ark series.  Yorkshire Television released all 6-colour episodes on VHS in 1981.

In The Ark Stories Ryan takes an entirely new look at all the animals aboard Noah's Ark, beginning with how they where chosen two by two. “Animals are quite hard to draw” he says “so I went to a toyshop and bought a selection of plastic ones-the sort you find in toy farms and zoos.” These animals together with Ryan’s drawings, form the visual basis for the series. All the animal voices and sounds are produced by well-known animal impressionist Percy Edwards. The music for the series has been specially composed by Yorkshire Television’s musical director, Robert Hartley.
