Piper's Tale: Rory's Story of the Napoleonic Wars

Series: Non-Series Titles

A hilarious Childrens' Picture Book about a young Scots lad who joins a Highland Regiment during the time of Napoleon.  Written by Peter Stewart-Richardson and fully illustrated by John Ryan with all proceeds from book sales going to the Army Benevolent Fund.  This book was published in 1991 in paperback with 28 pages of black & white illustration.

When young Rory joins the Army and learns to play the pipes, the bugle and the drums, he is quite a little hero. But too much to eat and drink on St Andrew’s Night is another matter and Rory starts a regimental uproar which takes everyone, from the colonel downwards, by surprise.
